Dr. Ron McCallister

Dr. McCallister founded CrestCom in 2003, together with former Motorola Corporate VP and colleague, Bob Solem (deceased). He has 40+ years of wireless communications and semiconductor experience. In 1985, Dr. McCallister founded wireless chip start-up SiCom and later sold it to Intersil for $196M in 2000; he later served as CTO of Intersil's Wireless Business Unit. Previously, Dr. McCallister managed the Advanced Communications department at Motorola, focusing on wireless communication, particularly for the intelligence community. His wireless communication experience also includes designing communication systems for spacecraft radios at both Hughes Electronics and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Dr. McCallister holds a BA, BSEng from Dartmouth College, and a MSEE from USC. He also holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering.

Executive Officer
Dr. Prettyjohns joined CrestCom as its CEO in 2017. He has 30+
years of semiconductor & technology management experience. Dr.
Prettyjohns was previously the Chief Executive Officer at Innovasic
Semiconductor, Inc., from 2004 to 2016, which was acquired by Analog
Devices. He previously served as General Manager of SiCOM Inc. prior to
its acquisition by Intersil in 2000, where he subsequently served as
VP/GM Broadband Wireless and VP WiFi chipset engineering. His experience
includes key roles at technology start-ups including VP Marketing at
Photometrics, a VC-backed company developing advanced digital imaging
systems which was acquired by Roper Scientific in 1998 and at Wyko
Corporation (now a division of Veeco Instruments), where he was also a
co-founder. Dr. Prettyjohns holds a B.Eng and PhD in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Sheffield, England.
